HMGS East - This is the organization that runs the three big conventions in Pennsylvania each year. SMP is a supporting club of this organization, and most of our members are also members of HMGS.
The Army of Central Maryland plays out of a store in Glen Burnie Maryland, just south of Baltimore. We enjoy their company, and game together frequently. We also have a friendly competition being played out between the two clubs where we vie for the honor or carving a hash mark under our clubs name on a Peg Leg Trophy. It is a silly pursuit, but loads of fun!
NOVAG is one of the older gaming groups in our area. They have taken to publishing an online magazine, and extended an offer to all of the local clubs to tack on their individual newsletters. We certainly appreciate that! Also, they run several game days each year around DC, and we try to participate in them whenever we can.
The
Silver Spring
Civic Guard
The Silver Spring Civic Guard plays in Maryland, across many genres. I have not had a chance to make one of their musters, but I follow their yahoo group, and hope to get up there one day. They also came out to support TriaDCon last year, our first year, and were the most enthusiastic group in attendance, thanks guys!
Triangle
Simulation
Society
The Triangle Simulation Society is a club in North Carolina. I add them here because they throw a great convention every fall, Southern Front. My wife and I went down there for it in 2005. It wasn’t a bad drive, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
The North East Wargaming Society runs the WAB tournaments at the East Conventions. You can use their site to pre-register for events, and see results of past events. Somewhere on their site you will see where Ashley and I won Worst Generals in a doubles tournament back at Historicon in 2005.
